Audio but no video

Hello,

On GB PVR, which I installed just yesterday, I go to the TV Guide and I select a program to watch, I then get a message saying "No Signal - Check your connection" and two full signal bars. After a few seconds, the audio from that TV channel starts playing.

This is very strange, I am getting a full signal of audio but not video.

I have a Happuauge Nova-T-Stick (USB). It works fine with the Happuauge software.

What video decoder do you have selected on the playback tab of the config app?

I have selected "system default"

What other options do you have listed and have you tried them?

If you dont have any others listed, then you most likely dont have a usable MPEG2 decoder installed.

Yes I have selected the only other option "MPEG 2". It does not work

As you can see the Quality and Signal bars are fully green but no video is showing. I can also tell you audio for that channel comes out my speakers at high quality, so it cannot be to do with my signal strength on the rooftop antenna.

Whatever its name was, it was probably also the 'system default' decoder and the source of your problem.

Try installing this video decoder:

Just so you know, switching to another program would have had the same issue unless it came with it's own video decoder
