I decided to try out the Satellite DVB-S freeview service this weekend to see how that goes. (To see if my problematic channels under DVB-T are any better under DVB-S. And they are btw, everything works beautifully under DVB-S.)

Anyway, my question is this. Is there a way in GBPVR to tell it the two configured capture sources (DBB-T, DVB-S) are exclusive (in that they both cannot be used at the same time.)?

I thnk the HVR4000 hardware cannot have both tuners going at the same time. Whereas (in my configuration) GBPVR thinks they are independant and so the "check for conflicts" doesn't work right because it thinks there are two tuners.

Its supposed to do this automatically, but there was a bug that stopped it happening with the HVR3000/HVR4000. I posted a patch in some thread here for another user that found the problem. Alternatively, its also fixed for the next release.

ahh, thanks for that. If I search for HVR3000 instead of HVR4000 I find that thread.

I think I might have a slightly different problem because the above patch didn't help.

I have two capture sources, DVB-T and DVB-S on a single HVR4000.
On DVB-T I have enabled TV1,TV2 and the HD Freeview test channel.
On DVB-S I have every other channel enabled (other than TV1, TV2 ).

When I say record TV1, and then try and view TV2 it correctly says there are no tuners available. But when I view TV3 instead it actually tries to view TV3 (because I guess it is on a different capture device) and it reports no signal present.

And also (for the same reason) when you check conflicts and have a recording on say TV1 and TV3 at the same time, it thinks all is ok.

I have both my capture sources set to Device #1. I figure that this refers to the physical card.

Reproduce the problem then zip and attach the logs and I'll take a look.
