I just upgraded my GBPVR install on my Win2K machine to PVRX2 1.2.13 . It is noticeably snappier than GBPVR, in both CONFIG execution and video playback on the PC. However, on my MVP I see just updated screen segments? after the full main menu. This occurs using the dongle from the install as well as other previously good dongles as well as the most recent MVPMC. The only one I have found to work is the MVPMC dongle Sub advises for Vista contained in DongleX2a.zip.

Do you have <MVPUseIncrementalUpdates>false</MVPUseIncrementalUpdates> in your config.xml?

No, it was set to 'true'. I reset it as 'false', set the normal dongle to load and all is now well with the world. Thanks, Sub...

I did encounter the same problem. This solution worked for me to after restarting recording service. Maybe worthwhile to mention in the survival guide?

Pieter

Were you using mvpmc? The current version shouldn't have this problem.

I do use mvpmc-dongle 20080218, which apparantly isn't the latest. I shall update to version 20080405. Apparantly I missed that one.

I run win2000 too and had funny screens on the MVP's until I turned off incremental as well. No biggie.
