Hi ,

I am a new to hardware and drivers technically. I have tried the following and need your help.

I got a Frontech JIL-0613 USB TV BOX, which is working with my cable TV.
I want to use gbpvr, but not able to fix .

OS: Windows XP
TV software : Honestech TVR2.5
Driver used seems to be : Trident Analog Video as found in Devise manager
I Guess it is using WDM, do not know how to make it BDA?

Please advise.

To work with GBPVR it needs to have a hardware MPEG encoder. Showing as 'analogue' device doesn't sound too hopeful (although I might be completely wrong).
I think a device is either BDA of it's not. I don't think you can 'make' it BDA.

I can't find much info in the internet for this device - Is there a manufacturer specification or website with your device that will confirm if it has hardware encoding?

The wiki has a list of supported cards, and I can't see Frontech on it, but I guess it might be a generic copy....

I saw your post in the hardware forum but I can't find any information on that device so I'm not sure if it has the necessary hardware encoder. You can try running filtercheck.exe located in the gbpvr program folder and post the resulting filtercheck.log.

fuzzweed is correct that you can't "make" it a BDA device.

fuzzweed / whurlston,

I could not find anything more on the Frontech (it seems to be a china company) there are not drivers other than what I have with the USB which I purchased.

I have attached the file, please look into it and give your thoughts

Thanks

Sorry, but this device does not seem to have the necessary hardware encoder.

You might be able to use the GraphRecorder plugin: http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Plugin/GraphRecorder

Are you familiar with GraphEdit?
