Using 1.2.13 and an HVR-1600 for ATSC OTA.. here's what happens.

I'm watching timeshifted TV, and I've selected a mux other than TS (the problem occurs with any mux; cyberlink, ati, dvr-ms).

When I start viewing a program, it creates a .mpg (or .dvr-ms) and everything is fine. The program ends, and a new one begins. When PVRX2 starts a new buffer file for the new program, it ignores the mux choice and uses TS no matter what.

The problem is when you exit live TV, it looks for an .mpg to clean up, but it can't find it since the file was actually a .ts.. and I have to manually go back and delete the files.

from the logs, here's what happens after program change:
(this example is using a cyberlink PP mux, but I had the same symptom with any other cyberlink mux, the ati mux, or dvr-ms)

Quote:2008-08-11 23:30:20.186 VERBOSE BDARecorder::StartNewFile()
2008-08-11 23:30:20.186 VERBOSE Quick switching TS mux. New filename: J:\Buffer\News 25 Nightside_2_20080811_23300005.mpg

2008-08-11 23:30:20.194 VERBOSE Target filename: J:\Buffer\News 25 Nightside_2_20080811_23300005.ts

then when it tries to clean up the buffer, it looks for the wrong file:

sub, can you see what might be causing this? i've attached my logs. Thanks!

just occurred to me to try and set BDATSMuxQuickSwitch to false in the config.xml and see if that works.. will do so in the morning.

note I have AlwaysRestartTimeshiftGraphOnChannelChange set to true; otherwise it crashes back to the main menu whenever I switch between capture sources.

I'm fairly sure there was a patch posted for this somewhere a couple of weeks back.

yep, a similar issue in this thread: http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=36648

Just like that OP, unfortunately that patch didn't solve the problem for me either.

Will let you know if that config edit fixes the problem or not.

Ok, I set BDATSMuxQuickSwitch to false, and the recording service ignored that setting as well! Sad

Quote:2008-08-12 20:59:01.060 VERBOSE BDARecorder::StartRecording() finished
2008-08-12 21:00:01.192 VERBOSE BDARecorder::StartNewFile()
2008-08-12 21:00:01.192 VERBOSE Quick switching TS mux. New filename: J:\Buffer\Without a Trace_2_20080812_21002200.mpg
2008-08-12 21:00:01.200 VERBOSE Using GB-PVR TS Mux (via TS Mon)
2008-08-12 21:00:01.200 VERBOSE Target filename: J:\Buffer\Without a Trace_2_20080812_21002200.ts

sub, can you please look into this? looks like some logic is failing and the TS Mux gets tapped for the job regardless of settings.
