You shouldnt get a .tp file out of GBPVR. The file extension depends on BDA Multiplexer setting, but .tp isnt one that it'll produce.

Really you should be using the newer NextPVR which replaced GBPVR.

GBPRV's recorded shows can be played/rewound, etc using MyHD dvr but not GBPVR. Any idea why GBPVR crashes when using dvr functions recordings?

If you installed 1.4.7 from the installer issues are are possible (I'd suggest likely) because sub typically releases a few bug fixes shortly after the release. There were 5 patches that I was aware of in Sept 2009 and they are no longer available on the forum.

Do you know if HdHomerun's dual tuner is supported in NextPVR? It is not listed on HdHomerun's website as being supported. Also, GBPVR was known as being powerful yet older systems such as mine could still use. I'm afraid that completely rewritten version NextPVR would not play my video smoothly?

Yes, it works fine, and gives extra features like multi-record (recording multiple channels with a single tuner)

NextPVR and GBPVR should run approximately the same on the same hardware.

By recording multiple channels on single tuner, I assume you mean multiple sub-channels?
When HdHomerun asks for application during configuration there is no NextPVR option. Do I use GBPVR or miscellaneous option?

If you're using over-the-air ATSC, then yes subchannels. If you're using QAM, or a DVB version of the HDHomeRun, then other channels that happen to be on the same frequency.

How useful that is will depend on your broadcaster. On US cable system, your might get lucky and have a good mixture of channels on the same frequency. Here in NZ, and the UK etc, its very common to want to record different channels broadcast on the same frequency.

From memory I think most use 'Other: ATSC/QAM'.

No but Schedules Direct (SD) works great.
