My PVR's motherboard just died and so I moved my HVR 1600 board into my wife's system. I installed the latest drivers from Hauppauge (CD version 4.2) and I got analog and QAM reception with WinTV.

Now I installed GBPVR and my old channel configuration, but I cannot get a picture. The attached log is for the following sequence. Start PVRX2, click TV Guide, wait until all channels are displayed, go to channel 25, click, click watch, wait a couple of seconds to make sure there is really no picture, leave the program.

After I try watching with GBPVR I cannot use WinTV anymore, WinTV also does not get a picture anymore and is only showing a default test picture for the channels. After a reboot WinTV works again.

Configuration:
Windows XPSP3
AMD Athlon X2 4800+
2 GB mem
ATI Radeon X1550
HVR 1600

Any ideas?

I just found something else. After a reboot I saw that an episode, that I scheduled to record earlier, had started to record. So in principle something is working. I found I can start recordings from the TV Guide screen for currently running shows, and then choose to watch them, but once I try "watch now" for something new (no recording running) I only get a black screen and I cannot start a new recording anymore. ... until I reboot the system.

Try setting the deinterlacing setting on the misc tab to 'encoder pass through'. If that doesnt help, repost the logs.
