Fairly often I get a crash during playback of an MPG file. I was having trouble that PVRX2 would crash while idle so I have been closing the app and my recordings work fine. I have been using VLC for playback which seems to work fine. I tried to load net 3.5sp1 but it kept crashing so I have removed back to net 2. and now was able to load net 3.5sp1. I'll report back if this helped. The error message in the log is:

2008-10-05 21:50:58.709 ERROR [8] FATAL UNHANDLED EXCEPTION:: System.AccessViolationException: Attempted to read or write protected memory. This is often an indication that other memory is corrupt.

Does this crash while idle ever occur before you've watched a video?

I'm guessings its either related to one of the decoder you're using, or maybe your videocard drivers.

I killed the atievxx process and it has been working without crashes. I use the atitray utility so maybe there was some issue with the two. Anyway for now it seems to be working ok again.
