The remote thing isnt a GB-PVR problem. The Hauppauge remote software tries to use the last device installed for the remote (even if it doesnt have a remote socket), so it wouldnt be looking at the PVR-150 remote anymore. You'll probably need to uninstall the PVR-150 and reinstall it.

On the other thing, make sure both devices are configured as device #1. If that doesnt help, reproduce the problem and post the logs and I'll take a look.

Hi, I have a pvr-150 for a while, works fine. Today, I added a second tuner, a HVR-1600. The remote stopped working.

I scanned the channels, but did not enter the frequencies yet. But, using the mouse in TV Guide, if I want to change the channel, the tv guide disappears for 1 second and comes right back... I would think it should use my PVR-150 card to change the channel (PVR-150 is using IR blaster to change set top box, HVR-1600 is using analog cable only). But, right now, I can't even watch tv at all becasue I think it forgot about my 1st card... Not sure about what to do now, remote don't work, and pvr-150 won't work either.

BTW, the remote cable is plugged into the PVR-150 card as it was originally, I have not changed that.

Thank you,
Frank.

Ok, I put the cable into HVR-1600 card and remote is back on.

For the other thing, the HVR-1600 only works when set as device #2. The PVR-150 stopped working, and I tried each number from 1 to 10 and none of them work. I noticed though that when i select any number other than #1 for this card, it says that the drivers don't seem to be installed, and asks me if i want to make the change anyways. So I assume that it needs to be set as #1, that is the only one that doesn't give a warning. Same thing goes for the 1600, except on that card it is only #2 that doesn't give the warning. And it works when set as #2.

So right now, the problem left is that PVR-150 no longer seem to work, only the analog channels (2 to 47) work thru the 1600, anything above that gives snow, but it should then use the PVR-150 to get to those channels.

Assuming you only have a PVR150 and HVR1600, then they're definitely both device #1.

Set the device numbers to #1, then reproduce the problem and post the pvrx2.exe.log and pvrx2.exe-native.log and I'll take a look.

Ok, I have only one PVR-150 and one HVR-1600. Now both set to device #1.

Here are the logs. Thanks a lot for looking.

In this log it looks like you view channel 2 on the HVR1600, then channel 3 on the PVR150. What did you see on the screen?

I did see channel 2, then i changed to 120, which came right back to channel 2. I never saw channel 3.

Ok, the problem was related to the IRblaster being configured on wrong card, and me configuring the HVR-1600 as device #2, see my other post (you are answering 2 of my posts at the same time, and they are closely related, sorry for creating 2 posts to start with, I thought I had 2 seperate problems... well I did, but in the end, it was all related).

Thank you for all your help.
