Internal Error 2753. Confix.exe

Getting this error trying to upgrade to 1.3. And then installation ended premeturely. I seem to be stuck somewhere between versions. Running the 1.3 installer again gives me the repair / modify / remove dialogue, but the settings screen of pvrx2 says i'm still on v1.2.13.
and i can't launch config anymore. got a progress bar that rolls up and down over and over again....
system restore time i think....

just tried uninstalling 1.2 first then installing 1.3. Didn't get the internal error this time, but still got the installation rolling back and ending prematurely Sad

Are there any installation logs generated that I should post?
