Hi

This bug was here in v1.2.9 and v.1.3.7

Server is XMLTV listing driven, this works fine on the server MVP and Admin site, shared GBPVR directory as read write but not create.

Install another copy GBPVR on another machine, list it as client with streaming and not file share, when runing this client it pulls the recordeding data but not the TV guide, it seems to be pulling all the channels but not the channel contents!

Is this a file share issue as i listed streaming??? Also GBPVR on the client closes with some wacky crash error (has SQL in the error).

What logs do you want to see, see a screen shot as well?

Many Thanks
Ashley

The only time I've seen anything like this was when I was both having network problems and had a huge channel list and several weeks of data.

The TV Guide filled with the stations, but it took a few minutes to populate the list with the shows. If you exit gbpvr before the epg is fully populated then it does crash - this is a fairly well known and commented on happening..

have you tried waiting a bit to see if it populates?

Interesting, left the client open about 2 mins, its loaded, i was getting the image below, after 2 mins it loads...

Looks like its fixed, can Sub confirm it takes longer to squirt data over to client in streaming client server mode???
Many Thanks

To help my problem, I set my xmltv grab from the radio times down to 7 days and that made a very noticeable difference. I'd also suggest getting rid of station you will never, ever watch or listen to. (My old initial grab had all the regional bbc and itv channels!)

CPU speed makes a noticeable difference as well here. Big quad core upstairs loads and display guide straight away. Old P4 in the garage takes half a minute.

The Core2DUO is straight away on the PVR, on the client looking at the PVR server, takes a while... this machine is also Core2DUO.... it works though (almost, just sorting black screen video at the moment on the same client).
Many Thanks
Ashley
