Yapi2xml will not setup

I'm setting this up on a new install. All if fine until I try to " Download and Parse" once I try that command I get the message "Schedule file is corrupted or not found" I have tried reinstall of both Yapi2 and gbpvr with out success.

Great to hear! If you do try the other, just a heads up: if you have a lot of channels and select 7 days or more of guide data, the proggy will appear to be sitting there doing nothing. It can take some major time, so fear not.

I am getting the same thing with a Run-time error '9': Subscript out of range. I wonder if there is a problem with yahoo?

The problem seems to be with Yahoo. When querying their server I get the following message:
"Couldn't connect to database server -- Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/tmp/mysql.sock' (2)"

Subscript error most likely indicates there's a count of items that exceed the bounds of the program. (Like 0 items when prog expects >0 ; or more items than an upper bound of 60000 or something ) It's currently not in development, the author is serving his country. It won't be fixed any time soon
Many people are very happy with the speed and reliablity of mc2xml
