Last night I was testing multi-recording, to make all my tuners could be picked. I started 2 recordings on the digital tuners, and it dropped out to the main menu. When I pressed LiveTV, it asked me if I wanted to watch one of the channels it was recording. I said no. After that, I could never get LiveTV to come up again, would drop back to the main menu.

Also, is that how it's supposed to work? I have to change to a channel I am watching, then tune to a different (say analog if I'm using both digital tuners).

Is the 2250 the only card you have installed? If so, even though you configured two analog and two digital tuners, you only have two tuners, so that behaviour is correct.

Yes it is - I though I could tune 2 analog and 2 digital stations at the same time!? It HAS 2 separate digital and 2 analog tuners, doesn't it?

Well, just saw this on their website - so I guess each tuner can tune EITHER analog OR digital, and it really only has 2 tuners, analog/digital combo. Thanx for correcting my dumbness!

WinTV-HVR-2250 has these great features

WinTV-HVR-2250
Watch and record two TV programs at the same time: two analog cable TV channels, two digital TV channels or one analog cable and one clear QAM digital cable TV channel.

Yeah, it's only two tuners. This card is somewhat unique in that each tuner can tune anything. Usually, the 2 analog would be separate from the 2 digital tuners.
