Hey guys. I currently have 2 GBPVR boxes, one running 0.99.5 (old, I know, but it's not broken so I don't need to fix it Tongue ), and one running 1.2.13. I have some recordings on the 0.99.5 box that I'd like to put on the 1.2.13 box. I know I can just copy the video files into the Video Library share of the 1.2.13 box, but I really want them to show up in the recordings list on the 1.2.13 box. I don't want ALL of the recordings from the 0.99.5 box, just a few different shows.

I saw there was a plugin or something that sounded like it did this, but I wanted to ask before I started poking at things.

this is pretty easy to do (once you know how!)
Step one - copy your recordsing to the new location
Step two - Use the recording export feature in config. It creates a list of your recordings in .XML format. I think it is on te plugins tab in Config.
Step Three - modify your export xml file to update the recording location. You would change the file name i the xml file.
Step four - Use the import recordings feature (it is in the same location as the recordings export).
Step Five - rename one recording on your old drive and test it from GBPVR (do this to ensure you have actually imported correctly
Step 6 - delete your old recordings.

GBPVR handles all of the backend stuff, including cleanup of deleted recrodings.

i use mpeg import
it creates a xml dump file then you use the import recording feature in config(there is a import button on the program but it no longer works since it is not been updated as the program writer left)
this program can scan a whole hard drive or just one folder if you wish for pretty much any type of file extension so its handy for importing avi's or other downloaded media

Awesome! Thanks for the quick replies! I'll give these methods a shot tomorrow and see what happens. Thanks again! Smile
