others have said that aswell
but maybe it was already set to cable instead of antenna
its been like that since i started using it 3 years ago
sub the writer of the program will be able to explain better maybe if it really bothers you Smile

as for your blank screen you seen a video decoder
mpv if a free one you can download
it also explains how to register it
http://www.free-codecs.com/download/MPV_Decoder.htm
vlc has its own built in that cant be used in gbpvr

you can check on the playback tab under video decoder and see if there are any installed you are best not to leave it as default if there are other options

lancedefrance Wrote:Also if I can ask one more question please about padding and recording shows back to back. For example there are two shows that I want to record that are scheduled to air from 6-7 and the next one from 7 -8. If I have padding set to 5 mins pre and post would it stop the first show 3 mins before its finished so it can start the next show 3 mins earlier or how would it behave?

Any suggestions on a reasonable padding time. I currently have it set to 5 mins but I am finding that it doesnt work particularly well with shows that run back to back as the first show gets chopped up but I can always watch the end of it in the start of the second show recording.

i used to have it set to 3 and 7
but once the second recording kicks in i think it ignores the padding

i now have 2 dvb-s tuners and use multi record now i get all shows with pre 3min and post 7min padding (can record any show at anytime on all freeview stations )so upto 13 recordings at one time on 3 tuners
plus have pvr500 for prime so it gets the same well worth the money

Now I have one final question please, when I setup the application on Friday night for the first time, I didnt have to set the tuner to cable and I didnt have to fiddle around with channel numbers, it just worked.

Why did I have to do it this time around?
I dont know. You would have always need to have had it set to 'cable' in NZ to get the complete list of channels. If you had it set to 'antenna' you'd have only got the VHF channels.
