I was just looking at how to get the recording db to point at a manualy xcoded file, in this thread:

http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=39303

Sub says:

Quote:Assuming your config.xml has:

<CheckForRenamedRecordings>true</CheckForRenamedRecordings>
<AutoRemoveMissingRecordings>true</AutoRemoveMissingRecordings>

If you transcode the files to .avi files, and delete the .mpg files, then view the recordings screen, it should update the database to point to the avi.

Should this work for .ts to .mpg? Because it doesnt on my setup, what does it look for as valid renames?

Yeah I've always shied away from vidimport because the wiki doesnt mention much about drag and drop. I just gave it a go though and it is excellent, only thing I couldn't work out is where to put the executable, but it appears not to care.
I would prefer to get gbpr to recognise the file name change because then I keep all the show info but that's not very important.

yeah i used to use video import but it doesn't recognise ts files so i gave vid import a go
seemed to work ok and looks up data off the net seemed to do ok

only thing i wish there was an example of a batch file provided
i know nothing about batch files and commands and the wiki isnt very clear (i need eamples so i can change little bit at a time to see what happens)
im sure to computer programmers it all makes perfect sense
