I am using the latest GB-PVR with the latest PVR150 drivers and updates. Now my remote kind of works better, at least I can change channels (with the number keys, not with the chan + and - buttons), however, every time I change the channel, I get an annoying popup that says that the remote was found, which cause the remote to stop working (and GB-PVR to lose focus) until I hit ok, is this an ir.exe problem or a GB-PVR problem? And has anyone ran into this before?

Thats an ir.exe message. I've never seen it before myself.

Have you tried the up and down navigation keys? GB-PVR was really designed around the Hauppauge PVR250/350 remote, which doesnt have a separate key for ch+/- and instead shares the navigation keys.

I only got my new 45 button remote a couple of days before the last release, so there is no special handling for it at the moment.

By the Wiki I see that Firefly is listed as a usable remote, is it completely compatible? Im not real happy with Hauppage's software much at all, so I am looking at alternatives. I looked at the USB-UIRT option, but that thing is $50, just for the little box, but Firefly is $50 for the remote and reciever. Which one do you recommend?
