I'm running GBPVR on Windows 7 - Windows 7 is Vista for all practical purposes. In any case, the configuration program and the PVRX2 must be run as administrator - no problem there.

However, I can go into the configuration, and turn off some of the plug-ins I don't use, but the next time I open the configuration, all the plug-ins are turned back on.

Any ideas?

Not used Windows 7 but is this related?

Well, it sounded like the exact same problem, but that fix didn't solve the problem. I deleted the file, and checked the permissions on config.xml, but the problem remains - its a minor problem, but I would like to fix it. I might learn something.

In the config app tick the box to disable plugins and then click ok. Then open up the config.xml file using notepad or similar and see what the value of <PluginsEnabled> is.

Try turning off User Account Control (I presume it's still there in Windows 7?). UAC has some very strange consequences, and this sounds like one of them.

UAC is GONE in Windows 7! The taskbar has been reworked, and is very nice. There are many other minor changes. I hate Vista. I like Windows 7.

I did as you suggested. The value did indeed come up as false. But the individual plug-ins were all set to true. I manually changed the ones I don't want false, and that worked!

UAC is still in W7. It just works nicer. There is a slider to control how aggressive it works. I'm not sure about this but but turning it all the way down turns it close to being off but not completely.

I am impressed with W7. It is faster and gaming is better than XP and Vista. Could be the drivers for my video card.

Could be wrong but as W7 is beta it is not currently supported by GBPVR.
