Hi Everyone,

I was using another similar service but they did not support the Fusion hdtv5 Qam so I thought this was a good opportunity to check this out.

I downloaded, installed gbpvr... Have 3 hdtv5 lites installed.

First, does gbpvr handle 3 of the cards?

I tried to install 1 source card, gbpvr sees the card, got the local cable companies channel line epg (remember, doing qam over cable)

But... when I scan for channels, nothing pops up. Not one....

The fusion software worked with all 3 cards with Qam.

I uninstalled fusiontv, and the drivers for 3.6... and installed the older fusion 3.30 without the fusion tv... only the drivers.

Do I need a better qam.ini script or?
will three cards work?

Any help is appreciated.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't believe the Fusion cards support QAM via the BDA drivers which is what GBPVR uses to interface with the cards. The Fusion software doesn't use the BDA drivers which is why it works with it.

I guess I should have said I didn't know anything about the fusion cards, just throwing out the qam.ini manager as a suggestion... I suppose just posting the link might have implied "oh sure, it works fine, all you need is this".

Anyhow, as my penance I searched the forum for 'fusion qam'. The results were fairly non-reassuring. Most people can't get the fusion cards to work with qam, some people have said some cards work but provided no details. sub said dVico sucks (my word, not his) and won't provide him any info unless he pays for it. sub said qam support is new and non-standard in the bda spec, and that gb-pvr's support is designed for the Hauppauge, hd-homerun and a couple of other cards; any others that work do so because they happen to work just like the ones that are supported. he said some fusion cards have been known to work with qam, but he doesn't say which or under what conditions.

sorry.
