Thanks for the advice, I am running MVPMC and believe it is the recommended version. I have also tried the original Hauppauge dongle and version 1.1.59. I have attached my logs taken just after trying to play live TV. The viewing source is NZ Freeview off DVB-s using a Hauppauge HVR-4000.

Since you have MvpTranscodeAllVideo set to true, livetv isn't going to work. You shouldn't need that because you are using the Cyberlink mux, which isn't bad for SD.

Tried changing from true to false, rebooted PC and MVP. Now the screen turns black for about 2 seconds then returns to the main menu.

Logs would be good here unless of course the station isn't SD.

This is for sub, for some reason livetv wasn't recording so there was nothing to play.

Code:
2009-03-01 19:20:39.906    ERROR    [7]    Error starting live tv recording: Length cannot be less than zero.
Parameter name: length

I just tried choosing a show using the TV Guide and it comes up with a message to say "no tuner is available". It appears now I am unable to do a quick record. More logs attached.

I am happy to say I have resolved my issues. removed all the capture sources and then uninstalled GBPVR. After a reboot I deleted the DEVNZ folder in Program Files. Next I reinstalled GBPVR and re set up my recording sources and MVP settings, I am still using MVPMC.

I now have all my channels and live TV is working just fine on the MVP.

Again, thank you Martin for your advice and Sub for a great application.

Thanks, Fraser.
