GBPVR looks like it should be a great program! I'm a first time user and I can't get it working with my HDTV Wonder. I didn't get any search results here and the ones I found through Google didn't help. I'm probably overlooking something simple but I've spent hours already.

GBPVR installs and config finds the card installed. However I'm not using an EPG and don't know how to manually enter channels. I've tried putting the physical channel in the tuning request column. When I try to record or watch TV nothing happens, no errors either.

Is there an easy way to confirm I have .NET 2.0? I know I have 1.1 and 3.5. I have the other required software installed. Does it matter which version ATI driver I have? I've been using the card for years and haven't wanted to fix something that wasn't (terribly) broken.

Also, I don't see a way to use the analog portion of the card.

You should be able to just add a channel manually under the capture source setup (or as many channels as you want to)
Then do a map digital channels to EPG, and it will do a channel scan after which you can link the channels found to whatever channels you have added in the step above.
Obviously nothing will show up in the EPG, but you will able to do manual recordings, but I would suggest getting some type of guide. In the US they seem to use schedules direct which costs $20 / year or something.

I don't think you can use the analog side as it doubt it had an hardware mpeg encoder, which GBPVR requires.
You might be able to use Graphrecorder to get it going (it's under plugins on the Wiki)

.NET 3.5 include .NET 2 - so you will be fine - if you can open the config app (which it sounds like you can) then it's installed.

Thanks, but no go. I removed what I'd tried and started fresh. Getting to the point of getting it to do a channel scan was not documented and confusing to figure out. Watching as it scanned I saw it find channels at 93 quality but in the end it reported that none where found!

Unfortunately the ATI HDTV Wonder is one device that does not like GB-PVR. I'm not sure why this device behaves differently to other BDA devices, but it doesnt deliver data to GB-PVR so its never able to identify channels.

Hey thanks, I don't know how you do it all! That's dissappointing news. From what I've seen other's have had it working. Might a different driver work or GBPVR version work? Is there not a way to manually enter the channel information?

That is the only way some users have got this device to work. I dont have time to give you any detailed info on this, but if you do a forum search, you should hopefully find some posts about it.

I don't know what happened when I searched before because now I found a few threads. I got some channels working but now I have to resolve a stuttering issue.

Page 5 has info on manually entering the channels. It also says about getting the analog to work. There are supposed to be tutorials but they seem to be missing now.

If they were attachments, they've probably been deleted. I delete attachments older than a year to keep the backups to a manageable size.
