I installed Kworld 330U USB ATSC tuner and the Arcsoft TotalMedia software it came with. I tested with TotalMedia first and it worked well. Then I tried to playback the same video with GBPVR and the audio is out of sync. I used every audio filter I have including AC3filter and ffdshow but I still couldn't get the audio to sync up. I decided to try and add the tuner to GBPVR anyway to see what happens. I can get sync'd AC3 audio on some channels and others I can't. I am still using 1.2.9 in order to continue using Raven's MyVideos5. What should my settings in Config be? Which decoders should I be using? Or do I just need a faster PC?

May be related to the mux you're using. Or possibly the audio renderer.

It can vary a bit depending on the types of signals etc your using etc.

In general, I'd go with the TS Mux in 1.3.11, and 'system default' audio renderer.

So can I copy the GBPVRTSMux.ax from 1.3.11 and paste it into 1.2.9?

No, it only works with 1.3.11.

sub, I have since upgraded to 1.4.7 and now playback is fine. However now comskip is off by a bit. Someone else made a thread to which eric has replied but there doesn't seem to be a solution. http://www.kaashoek.com/comskip/viewtopi...879&p=4083 Is there anything else that we can do on the GBPVR or PC end?

The reason this happens:

Comskip is identifying adverts at X seconds into the file. GB-PVR has no way to know how far X is into the file, so it has to guess (based on the bitrate sampled at the beginning of playback). Its usually pretty close, but definitely noticeable when you're trying to use comskip. Even after guessing, it is unable to be sure of how close it got by looking at any data at that part of the file (since the broadcast timestamps cant be relied upon).

The only way I could really fix this, is to calculate the timestamps of every frame prior to starting playback. This would be lengthy process, so not worth doing in my opinion.

Hi,

Had a similar problem related to the DVB signal quality. I fixed it by using -async setting when transcoding in FFMPEG with a really large setting - over 100 000 I think.

Yeah that would be too lengthy of a process. Thanks for replying.
