Was that recorded with the 'full ts' mux open on the Misc2 tab? It looks like a broken file.

sub I recorded that with the full TS option selected using that patch you provided earlier in this thread. I can roll back to one of the earlier builds and upload another file if need be for you to compare. To be honest I never did have much success using the full TS selection as the output was always a bit ratty.

For what it's worth, the patch Sub posted in this thread helped me significantly when scanning with my HVR-1600. I finally found all the channels that I knew were there.

Sub a little follow up,
I've tried 3 different sets of drivers, different muxes, and different combinations of DirectShow filters, installed from scratch (after a thorough cleaning of the registry) and applied the patches and the misidentified PID's persist. I was able to replicate the problem on my other box which is a dedicated HTPC so I'd say that pretty much rules out a hardware issue.
This is what I see,
Original Psiparser: Scan runs and completes but misses channels however the PID's are correct.
Psiparser from the survival thread: scan locks up and crashes with a DEP error so no data acquired.
Psiparser patch from this thread: scan runs and completes with no crashes or lockups and definitely finds more channels than what I was getting, but many of them have bogus PID's. Time Warner Cable to which I subscribe to has no MPEG4 channels or even the capability to transmit the same at this time. This I found out after several hours of jumping through hoops with their support before I finally got to speak to a real technician who actually knew what I was talking about.
I've spent more time on this in the past week than anything else and to the best of my knowledge ruled out anything on my end. If there is anything I can do to help track down the source of this problem please let me know.
To anyone else that might read this and has similar hardware such as the Hauppauge HVR-1800, HVR-1600, HVR-2250 please check your SCAN-cache file by opening it in notepad and look for bogus PID entries such as H264 for video and AAC for audio and report it to sub.
