What is the proper way to delete recorded episodes so that they are re-recorded assuming it is a scheduled series?

For example, say I want to record the series Star Trek on a certain channel that repeats episodes. Now let's assume one of the recordings is bad for whatever reason. If I delete it directly from the hard drive as opposed to deleting the recording within GBPVR, does GBPVR see it as missing and therefore re-records that particular episode?

Or, if I delete the episode within GBPVR, does GBPVR already know it has been recorded and therefore will not record it again?

By default it wont rerecord an episode if you've just recently deleted it. You can schedule a one off recording for that episode from the TV Guide though.

If you want it re-record lots of episodes of that show, you might be best to delete the season recording and recreate it.

So deleting the series within GBPVR and re-adding it essentially resets the recording history for that series in GBPVR?

Does deleting them manually from the source also do the same? I mean will they be re-recorded without recreating the series recording?

OH! That raises a question (perhaps feature request) I have been thinking about. Is there a way to move scheduled series recordings up and down on the list to give certain series more priority?

I think so. I cant remember for sure. Remembering the history is a US/Canada only feature.

No.

In the recording screen, recurring list, the FF/RW buttons adjust the priority.
