What Size are Recorded HD Program Files?

I am planning for when I will start recording some programs in High Definition. I know that the analog cable (NTSC) programs I record now take approximately 1.7GB to store a one hour program (with the settings I currently use).

Can anyone tell me approximately how large HD programs captured by a QAM tuner will be.

generally I get 5 to 7gb per hour, though I am using an antenna rather than cable (it should be just about the same though). It varies on whether the channel is 720p or 1080i. It also varies on the bit rate chosen by the broadcaster.

Thanks. That helps me with seeing what the network bandwidth needed will be to drive a PCH.
