Firstly id like to apologize for my ignorance.
Current setup:
WHS SP2
GBPVR 1.3.11
VerMedia AVerTV Combo PCIe ATSC/NTSC/QAM
HDHR should be here tomorrow.

So far this is what ive done. Ive connected my cable (no STB, but direct) to my analog source, I go into config and setup my capture source with Analog Recording Plugin, i go to schedules direct website and add my listing, then go back to config and setup my EPG, click update EPG and it picks up channels, but I cant watch all of 'em (scrambled). I cant see history, BET, etc. Is this specific to my area (90065)? Now the 2nd part. I tired setting up a QAM source the same way and when I update EPG I see all these listings, I enable them all then try clicking on the guide, but nothing happens, I click on Live TV and nothing happens. At least with the analog source I can watch some channels, but with QAM I get nothing. Now from what I understand the listings that are getting picked up are just what its referencing on the schedules direct site, correct? Im a total gbpvr newguy. I tried going into my bda.ini and reming out TUNING_SPECIAL=2, but not dice. I feel like im missing a piece of the puzzle. Anyway, thank you in advance. Peace

Yes, im quoting myself. Well I have figured something out. After getting the EPG list and scanning with QAM source connect I realized that I have to go into "Map digital channels to EPG channels" and do a scan. So I did that and a whole bunch of frequencies were detected, but none of them were labeled. Most had xxxxxx.xx unknown then AC3. Did some research on that and realized that ill need to go through each entry and try to ID the channel and map that to the EPG which was so tedious. I am now one step closer. Happy to report that I was able to pick up DiscoverHD which was nice Smile. Now I just need to figure out why I cant see the History channel. With my digital source I figure its encrypted, but I dont get why its scrambled via my analog source. I can see it on my tv so I should be able to pick it up, right? Now I can setup my HDHR which came in yesterday (thank you newegg) and for those of you planning on ordering one, newegg is shipping HDHR's with the updated hardware revision anything over 1013, mine was 1016. Well, I hope someone can provide some insight on why I cant get the History channel. Thanks again. Peace.

If you running the Tuning Assistant utility, does it find the channel you're looking for?

I will try that as soon as I get home and post the results. Are you referring to freqcopy ( http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Utili...gAssistant )? Thanks for the info. Peace

No, I'm referring to the TuningAssistant.exe that is installed with GB-PVR.

Tried running Tunning assistant and no dice. I dont get TNT, History, TBS, BET, and others. I wonder why I can get 'em with a TV but not the tuner. I also tried Avermedia's Aver MediaCenter and nothing.

I forgot to mention that my success in regards to setting up QAM was with HDHR and not the Avermedia card. Im currently trying to get History and other channels via analog which i am getting on my tv that has no STB.

This is very frustrating. Another question i have is, do you all pay for schedules direct? Is there a free service out there i can use?

Most people pay for Schedules Direct. Its a good/reliable/cheap service.

There is free options though. The most common of these is mc2xml. Google it.
