Skip button in Guide jumps 2 days instead of 1

Using the skip button in TV Guide jumps two days instead of one day. I am using a Microsoft MCE Remote 2005 (version 2). I am still using GPVR 1.2.9. Is there a way to fix this?

Other info for someone smarter than me:

This has always happened to me when using IR through a HVR-1600, but not with RF via Gyration USB dongle. I can send the same commands through the Gyration remote and get different results depending on IR vs RF. This has carried across GBPVR versions, so I'm guessing it's not GBPVR and likely Windows related.
