I went in to settings to se if if could change the skin from slick and GBPVR locked up. Got out with task manger. Then just error (ms) Did reboot, and recording service pops up with 8 tuners listed (like when yor install GBPVR on a machine without any tuners) Checked hardwrae manager, all cards working, 2 of them.

Tried "repair" option, but that just bounced back just at the end.
Backed up GBPVR folder.
Reboot, uninstalled GBPVR
Reboot installed GBPVR - this went ok unil config, mserror again.

Pretty much stuck now. Not sure on what to do as uninstalling and reintall has worked in the past. Also havn't seen the recording service behaving like this before.

A whole bunch to hard to read a I live in the past with an old CRT TV! Cant cut n paste either, stupid ms!
Anyway, looks like my config file or something is causing the problem. I unistalled, ran ccleaner and deleted the whole gbpvr folder. Rebooted and reintall and it worked. Tried to paste in my backed up gbpvr folder and then shat itsselv again!

So either I or you :-) try to find the fault or Ibite the bullet and set up from scratch.....

Thanks

I cant tell with the limited info you've provided (no error message, and no logs), but I'm guessing its a corrupt config.xml file.

Sorry, cant help you with that one. The MSI installer stuff is mystery to me. When you get it installed though, if GB-PVR doesnt run, then let me know the message it gives you.
