Having to restart recordingservice for ir to work

After a bit of use, mainly after recording something, I have to restart the recording service so that USB-URIT works (blasting to STB) If I remember correctly, there is a fix that has something to do with "interact with desktop".

I can't remember and yes I have done a search!

Hmmm. Surely someones got a fix for this?

go in to services (start-> run -> services.msc) and find the gb-pvr recording service. open the properties for the service, check the box that says 'Allow Service to Interact with the Desktop'; then you *probably* need to restart the service.

I don't know if that's actually your problem though, usually I see this problem described as "IR works for Livetv, doesn't work at all for recording", not "IR works fine, but quits after a bit of use". However you certainly do need that checkbox set so that's where to start.

Thank you. I had this problem before. I have recently done a clean install and a bit of tweaking. Couldn't remember how to set it up.
