"Best Colours" feature test

Can anyone who is using v. 908 and using "Best Colours" option and getting acceptable performance please post your machine spec here?
In fact, can anyone who cares and uses it/wants to try it for the purposes of this research post your spec and results here? Thanks!

My spec is:

AMD Athlon XP 2400
512MB DDR RAM
Windows XP
X-Card
Hauppauge PVR-350
Asus A7N8X-E Deluxe mobo
nVidia 128MB FX5200
USR Wireless 125Mbps PCI Card

My results with it:
Very first time I move up or down or press enter on loading GB-PVR, it's instant. Then varies between 2-4 second delays and instant after that. This is not just changing screen, it's moving about menu's etc.

Anyone else?

Your times are about what I'd expect on your setup. As I said, its only really viable to enable this option on that absolute top-of-line PCs. For comparison, I would say that my Athlon 64 3000+ is marginal. Not really fast enough, but close.

I also provided some more technical information when responding to your other post.

Its a tiny bit faster in the next release, but not much.

Ok. if YOURS is only *marginal* I might aswell give in and admit you're right!
You do mention that it is possible to generate the skins before hand, but need to have an even colour distribution. How would I go about doing this? I'll have another play in Paint Shop Pro with generating pallettes. Would it then be ok in standard non "Best Colours" mode?
Finally, if I choose X-Card and "Best Picture" on a PC without an X-Card, it works fine. I assume this is because it's not actually found the X-Card therefore not actually doing any processing? Thought I'd check though!

Oh, and finally, would it be possible to implement this feature so it only works in certain screens, like Weather or My Pictures? I don't care about delays there, just good colouring? I don't know how good My Pictures would be though..
