Or for that matter various other formats like divx, h264, etc.

Right now when I select an mp4 file from my library GB doesnt do anything. It won't play on media player but plays on media player classic.

You'll probably need to install the Haali splitter on your machine to have .mp4 files play. You'll also need decoders for whatever video/audio types are contained within that .mp4 file (H.264/AC3 etc).

Awesome!!! That worked perfectly and I'm able to play it fine on GB.

This isn't gb related but maybe someone can help. I can't seem to play the files on media player but plays fine on media player CLASSIC. It's never been a big deal since I could always use classic to play the files but was wondering if anyone would know why this would happen.

media player classic has its own built in decoders(codecs) vlc also has its own
windows media player uses what ever is on the machine install something like ffshow and that will play most things then xvid for divx and so on
gbpvr calls them in a similar way so once gbovr plays things often(not always) windows media player will aswell

Right on the money. Just tried wmp again and it played just fine.

Ok new problem now. I actually tried watching a xvid video instead of just seeing if it would play and noticed the audio lagged on the mp4 (xvid) file. I played another avi file and the audio was fine for that one. As a test I uninstalled Haali splitter and the audio was in sync again. Are there settings I can change to make it work?

When you install haali you're given the choice of file types it'll act on. Try deselecting .avi and it shouldnt have any impact on these xvid files.

Ok so I ran Gspot to verify the codec and actually it finds it's a H.264/MPEG-4 AVC . Does this make any difference in the settings for haali.

And on a different note, I wanted to add a station to the net radio. I tried following the wiki and going to shoutcast but when I right click "tune in" it doesn't give me the option to "save target"

Thanks for all the help Sub.
