Skip Fwd/back Misbehaving on NMT on MPEG playback

agerdin, I haven't forgotten this thread, and I think I might have found a problem in mvpmcx2 code if the skip happens before NMT starts playing the file, unfortunately I cannot duplicate the scenario.

Martin, have you had any more time looking into this problem? I am still looking for a more permanent solution. The comskip setting is not fully helping me. (see below)

As for comskip I don't use it or know it, but I'd find out from erik if you are configuring it properly. I don't interpret that setting to mean leave 5 seconds at the beginning, I read it to mean if the commercial is 5 seconds or less don't include it.

I got an answer from Erik that the comskip setting is not quite working as I would have hoped but rather follows the descripiton you had seen. This means that even if I set the setting to 120 seconds (eqals the recording pre-padding) and the commercial in the beginning is longer than that I get a commercial in the beginning of the file and the problem remains.

I released a version with some client changes that addresses some issues that might cause this to beta test yesterday. We will have to wait and see if it is a solution

Why assume that the commercial is only the padding time? If it only is the commercial at the beginning of the file you could even be ridiculous and use 60 minutes safely.

You are so right, dont know why, but I was afraid that the setting would affect all commercials shorter than what I put the setting to. However, the parameter should only affect the first commercial, which I can live without.

Martin, I can confirm that all my skipping problemes has been resolved with the new 10-10 version.
