Graham Wrote:The following is based on what has been working for me for years.

Click Edit in the Capture Sources tab in config. Click Settings. Country should be "Borders and Northern England" and Regions/Transmitter should be "Pontop Pike". This will use 0071.ini in folder C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\BDA\DVB-T to obtain the frequencies for your transmitter.

Click Map Digital Channels ... and do a scan. This should scan the six freqencies listed in 0071.ini. The results of the scan will be in folder C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\BDA\ in a file called SCAN-1.cache or SCAN-2.cache. Do these files include all of the Freeview channels?

What are you using as your EPG source? "DVB EPG Broadcast" is easiest to begin with.

On the Playback tab of config ... click the drop down list for Video Decoder. You should see a list of the decoders found on your machine. This list should include "MPEG Video Decoder" that is built in to Windows and is not recommended with GBPVR. The list should also include any dcoder installed by the software that came with your tuner or installed by any DVD player software. Select a decoder from the list. Do not leave it on "system default". You have a Nvidia graphics card. I get excellant results using the Nvidia Purevideo decoder. You can install a trial from ...

http://www.nvidia.com/object/dvd_decoder.html

You can decide later if you want to pay for Purevideo or find a free decoder.

In the Misc2 tab of config set BDA Multiplexer to "Microsoft DVR-MS".

In the Misc tab of config tick "Use Live Preview mode if possible" and set Deinterlacing to "Encoder Pass-through"

Does any of all this help?

What happens if you do a bunch of recordings on several different channels? Do the recordings play okay? Can you post logs after doing some recordings.

Recreate the Live TV problem and post logs.

I have looked at the logs but they exceed my limited expertise. Hopefully, some kind soul who knows something about something will pass by soon and stop to have a look.

Try setting your audio renderer back to 'system default' to see if it helps. Some other renderers can cause audio/video playback to not happen when channel changes occur.
