When I get message that the GBpvr is successfully installed, a big dialog opens with message that there is something amiss with interop.WMPLIB.dll.

I take OK and open config.exe. Now I get an unhandled exception and the plugin tab is empty.
the program itself seems to work as expected but I cannot edit the settings.

I started with vcredist_x86. I tried to repair and uninstall/reinstall wthout change.

What have I missed?

The exception:

In the logs it looks like the MovieWiz plugin is looking for Interop.WMPLib.dll, which hasnt been used in GB-PVR since the old GBPVR.exe user interface days. It isnt distributed with 1.4.x, and I'm fairly sure it wasnt included in 1.3.x either. I suspect JavaWiz will need to either add it to his installer, or remove the dependency.

OK, Superfast response as always. Thanks!

I'll bugger Javawiz instead, then.
I found the file in my backup-folder, so after I copied it to the GBPVR folder, it works without exception.

I'm not sure JavaWiz will really appreciate that ...

Ok. AxInterop.WMPLib is the Windows Media Player. It is used in the config program on the "Manage Content" tab. If you dbl-click on the thumbnail location label, the movie will play in Media Player.

I suspect most users don't even know this feature exists, so I think I may remove it in the next version so this dependency does not exist.

After my update, I got the "Please reboot and rerun config" and error regarding missing file interop.WMPLIB.dll and no plugins found. I applied the .dll patch (from another thread) but still got an error regarding missing file interop.WMPLIB.dll. After copying the dll from backup, I got an error regarding the new weather2 plugin, which I had just installed. Reinstalled weather2 and all was well.
What, me worry?

New version of MovieWiz (v1.0.27.0) released on wiki that removes this dependency.
