HD-PVR Users - Other codecs?

I've been using the HD-PVR for awhile now and am generally happy with it.

I have a minor issue where, starting Live TV, every once in awhile the audio will go out of sync with video. Changing channels seems to resolve it. It also has never happened with a recording, so I've let it be.

Now that it has been out awhile, are any of you HD-PVR users using other codecs with GB-PVR that might be better?

What are you recording from? I record from dish and had the same problem until I upgraded to the newest firmware for the HD-PVR. It address problem with time sync on Dish and Verizon boxs and also fixs a bug that can cause the hdpvr to corrupt its flash under certain circumstances. its available from http://www.hauppauge.com/site/support/su...hdpvr.html
I used to have all kinds of audio video sync issues before this update, I still get some every once and a while, which I think are hiccups in my system.

It's just my local cable provider's STB. I've got everything up to date on my end.
