[b Wrote:Quote[/b] (sub @ Feb. 12 2005,11:49)]The web server is definitely working in the current release. I've been able to confirm on a couple of machines now. You must have something else getting in the way.
Firewall is not turned on. I changed the port to 9876, confirmed via netstat -a that it was listening on that port and not the default (7647) port.

Now when I try http://192.168.0.104:7647/gbpvr/index.aspx (note incorrect port number), I get an I.E. page cannot be displayed.

When I enter http://192.168.0.104:9876/gbpvr/index.aspx, I get the Server Error in '/gbpvr' Application. error, I believe this is telling me the port is open and cassini is getting the request but unable to satisfy it. Of course not knowing cassini I can't be sure.

I'm not saying this is GBPVR and probably is related to my recent installation of the patches. Any ideas or steps to debug would be very appreciated. I posted a question on the cassini forum on Friday, but haven't received a response yet

Yes, I also believe this is the case and your error is unrelated to the Windows Update bug that some others have had in this thread.

You could try deleting the everything in c:\program files\devnz\gbpvr\web\bin\ except gbweb.dll and gbweb.pdb, then restart the recording service. It may help.

unfortunately that didn't work. This may have been mentioned earlier, but the error page includes this:

Requested Url: /gbpvr/index.aspx

(maybe showing more ignorance of cassini [Image: smile.gif]), but in my installation

index.aspx exists in /gbpvr/web/ not /gbpvr/

I have checked the WinDoze Firewall settings and the port is open. I had actually checked this before I posted (sorry, should have mentioned) as I know that the latest XP SP2 update does this sort of sh*t.
I haven't tried your latest release yet as I have pending recordings that I want out of the way first, but I'll let you know if it's still the same.

Cheers
