I am running Windoiws 7 64bit. If on my Intel MB de hardware assisted DEP is disabled there are no problems. When HW DEP is enabled GBPVR does not find the capture card and gives the following in the log:

Enabling or disabling the software settings for DEP in system properties has no influence.
If I uninstall GBPVR with the HW DEP enabled and install again with the same configuration and without rebooting everything works but after the first reboot it no longer works and gives the same error.
Switching off the HW DEP is no option because it is needed for Virtual PC/XP which does not run without the HW DEP enabled.

BTW: I am using a Hauppauge HVR-2200 (PAL equivalent of the HVR-2250)

From what I can tell, you've setup a capture source for a PVR150, not a HVR-2200, and its not finding a PVR150 driver in the machine.

Not completely true Wink
I had originaly a PVR150 in this specific machine. I took it out and replaced it with a HVR-2200 and changed the capture source accordingly.
Could it be possible that some old information is hanging around in the config?

It might be a case of Vista/Win7 file protection getting in the way, causing GB-PVR to still see your old database with PVR150 capture source configured.

Try deleting the "C:\Users\<Your account>\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\Devnz\GBPVR" directory.

Have deleted the directory and switched off UAC. It now works again. Switching off UAC was needed to get updateEPG working. I have not been able to get it working in a different way.
A separate issue but perhaps related is the fact that it seems that the XD (Execute disable) setting in the bios is doing certain "funny" things like zero size recordings. This need some additional investigation from my side. On my older server with a G965 chipset I noticed the same behaviour and had also to disable the XD setting in the bios to get GBPVR working properly.
If I have further information on this I will come back to you.

BTW: I am also working on an GBPVR installation with a Windows Server 2008 R2 machine. After installing certain AX files and a mpeg decoder I got it working.
Another experiment from me was to get GBPVR working in a virtual machine under ESXi. With the proper motherboard which should support VT-d (in my case an Intel DQ45CB) and using passthrough for the PCIe tunercard this succeeded. So it is now possible to buid a complete virtual media center if required.
If you like to have more info on this, please let me know.
