Danish H.264 playback fails on HDX1000

I have tried to playback some H.264 recordings from Danish television. If I try to use GBPVR to play back I will have a black screen for a few seconds and I'm back to the menu

If I play the file via the network browser in the HDX1000 I get video but no audio, most likely due to the HE-AAC encoding of the sound.

I have attached the logs and links to the test files is sent as a PM to mvallevand

Your logs look okay, I believe your problem relates to a firewall blocking the NMT web server GBPVRecordingService.exe on port 7647 I can play the SD sample however it is without sound because the stream type 0x11 is HE-AAC

I'm getting the HD sample but this is not promising news

As expected no sound the HD sample is also stream type 0x11

The good news is both samples do transcode and play reasonably well with vlc 1.0.3 as I wrote here

Thanks for the help, I will try some transcoding.

At least its confirmed that Denmark is using HE-AAC. HE-AAC decoding is obviously some thing to get when shopping for a new TV.

I tried the transcoding with vlc and the result is as far as I can see very good.
