Hello All,

I have just installed the latest GB-PVR onto Windows7 and am having problems.

I have a Kworld-115 ATSC/Analog card (it is a Philips SAA713x). It is functioning properly in Windows7 (the TotalMedia app that came with it works).

I can actually run PVRX2 but cannot run the Config.exe to customize or configure GB-PVR. It hangs and gives me a pop up that says "GB-PVR Configuration has stopped working" and I have to close the program.

I have tried running as administrator, all types of 'compatibility' but cannot get it run. I've attached the logs (i think)

Thanks

Hi,

Have it running on my laptop on Windows 7 64bit right now.

You install the vcredist_x86.zip ?

Uninstall the software that came with the TV tuner and uninstall GBPVR and try again?

I tried that as well. Still no luck. Any other ideas?

There's nothing interesting in your logs (btw, it's easier for those looking at the logs if you stick to .zip format).

There's no general problem with running GB-PVR on Windows 7 or Vista.

Uninstall, delete the c:\program files\devnz folder, then re-install from a fresh download. Make sure you install the VCRedist_x86 that sub specifically linked, not some other one.

You might also try disabling User Account Control to see if it's some weird side-effect of that.

Thanks for the reply. I had tried 1/2 of your suggestions so I tried a fresh install with UAC off and have the same issue.
Any other ideas? I do like Win7 compared to XP and don't want to go back... I guess i could try to re-install Win7 and do again from scratch...

Got it working fine in 2 W7 x64 boxes. Did you double check to make sure that config, pvrx2 and recording service is allowed in the firewall?
