How am I going to continue using my dual channel tuner? Do I have to use their set top box? Won't I need two boxes? If so, I know I can use the IR blaster that came with my card, but how will I be able to change channels on one box, without affecting the other box.
This sucks...
My cable provider is also switching all but the local (2 through 13) channels over to scrambled at the end of this month. I have had no problem recording from both tuners of my HVR2250 with only one coax cable connected.
The two boxes that I was sent by Comcast to descramble the signal only have coax connectors for both input and output. This means that I can connect one box to the 2250 and set up the blaster without too much trouble. (I haven't figured out everything about configuring to receive digital channels yet but that is not what I am concerned with in this post).
My question is that since the 2250 only has one coax input how do I connect a second input from the second box. These are not the digital STBs that receive all of the premium channels and have multiple choices for connections. This box only has a coax output that I have to figure out how to connect to the AV connections on the 2250 or the breakout AV plate that connects to the card.
Has anyone run into this problem before? I see from other posts that a lot of people like the HVR2250. How do you have them set up and connected?
