Your device definition in bda.ini does not match a device on your machine.

Although I had appended completely new device definitions for my specific HDHomerun tuners to the default list and at one point felt this had "registered", it apparently did not persist, as a subsequent review indicated GB-PVR had reverted to using the default definitions for Will's unit, even though my definitions remained at the end of the bda.ini file. I have since deleted Will's definition, and this seems to do the trick.

10 characters is too long. I suspect you have the escaped string. "%3A" should be a colon ":" and "%2D" should be a dash "-".

Ah yes. Replacing "%3A" with a colon works. Strange that the screenshot in the setup guide shows a colon (in the encircled portion of the URL), yet in my browser (IE8) the colon is represented in unicode.

Now I have another problem - a variation of what I encountered a few weeks ago on my first installation. If I enable "Live Preview" in Config, I see only "+", "-," "||", and "X" buttons, and the audio stutters and then drops out completely after a few seconds. If I disable "Live Preview", upon clicking "Live TV" the screen goes black for about 15 seconds and then reverts to the main menu.

At this point, I have all options for playback at "System Default", since playback seems just fine in the Config viewers and in HDHomeRun's QuickTV.

The audio stuttering is most likely related to the audio decoder you're using.

When you choose "System Default" you're at the mercy of whatever decoders Window's chooses at random. You'd probably be better off explicitly specifying the decoders you want to use.

Their website changed to display the unescaped string sometime after the guide screenshot was taken.

Try increasing the live TV pre-play delay in Config. You should also specify your decoders as sub mentioned.
