I recently purchased Samsung T240HD LCD Monitor. This monitor has built-in TV tuner. My primary reason for buying this device is for PVR. My question is how can I install and use the GB-PVR on my computer so that I can use the GB-PVR features with this monitor. During the installation, it asked for card type, I do not know the card type since the tv tuner card is built in. Please someone tell me what to do in order to install and use the software with Samsung unit.

I believe GBPVR is designed to work with tuners that are installed in the computer through either a usb/PCI or PCIe port. Inorder for GBPVR to recognize you have a tuner, it would need to have drivers and be installed by the OS, just like any other device controlled by the computer.

The monitor is just seems like it functions like and LCD TV that wouldnt be able to be used in an installation of GBPVR or any media center software

Yeah, thats just effectively a normal TV. It's tuner is not something that the PC can see or use.

Then my next question is this: Would I be able to use this software if I installed a stand alone tv turner like Hauppauge 1800?
