pending log file

The 'pending' file in my GBPVR\Logs directory has grown to almost 120MB and has every recording ever scheduled in it. Can I and/or should I just delete it from time to time? Or is this file supposed to get groomed automatically?

Sorry, it was intended to be added temporarily to aid some debugging, but I forgot to remove it. Just delete the file, and I'll make sure it isnt created in the next release.

If I had a vote, I'd say leave it in or at least have a setting in config.xml to keep it. I wrote a program to roll log files & just use that when the file gets big.

It's actually not such a bad file to have (by now I wonder if some people are actually using it for something), but if GB-PVR would overwrite the file each night so only the future shows are listed that would be better.

I like having the "history of the future" if you will. That way, if something doesn't get recorded that you thought would be recorded, it's easy to see if the recording service thought it should be, too. Sometimes, it might be a day or two till I get a chance to check.

I even changed my registry to automate calling the app I wrote, LogRoller. Now, I can just right mouse click the pending.log file & select Roll to save the last three copies of the file.

Interesting. The log itself certainly doesn't hurt, and can be useful.

My primary concern was whether I could/should just delete the file, which I have done. It used to be a pain when posting logs, as if I forgot and left it in it would make the log zip huge, but these days I only post the log(s) that show my exact problem anyway.

Sub, handle it as you see fit. Knowing I can just delete it when I want to is enough for me.
