No signal in PVRX2, but signal in config

Hi, Im a newbie to tv on the PC.
I am using an HP DVB card, with Windows Vista.
I have a good signal to my aerial, as never have a problem on my TV. I have used this aerial wire to connect to the laptop.
In configuration, I receive a TV picture when mapping to the EPG, and can see this moving picture in the small thumbnail window.
However, after 'OK'ing' out of the configuration tool, and going to use the PVRX2 program, the Live TV shows EPG details, but no picture or sound, and the two bars for signal and quality have nothing in them, with a message saying no signal is detected.
Thank you for any help you can provide.
This is going to be our TV for our caravan, and our first holiday is in 2 weeks, so I would love to get this sorted. I have a feeling I am nearly there, but can't work out where Ive gone wrong.

Have you selected specific decoders on the Playback tab of Config?

Select decoders from the dropdown list on the for the video and audio decoders. Leave the audio renderer on system default. The best option for video renderer is usually VMR9 Fullscreen Exclusive for XP and EVR for Vista.
