GB-PVR has stopped working - device error?

Hi there,

My pvr has been working perfectly up until a week ago when it seddenly stopped.... it recorded a show at 12pm and has recorded anything since. I didn't make any changes to my system. I also can not watch live TV and am unable to update the EPG. I have attached an extract from the log file when trying to watch live tv. There is an error that says ERROR_DEVICE_NOT_CONNECTED but I am not sure what this means. Is it saying that there is a problem with my satellite or my TV card?

Any ideas would be greatlt appreciated.

i assume you have restarted the machine
also check in config to see if the card still shows up
if it doesnt the card may be dead
or may just need to reload the driver for it

you can also go into device manager and see if there are any error codes why its not working

thanks stustunz... yes the machine gets retarted at 5:30am every morning. The card is still showing in the config and device manager thinks that the card is working fine. Hmmm....

what happens if you scan your stations

Also try running ReRegisterFilters.bat.

channel scan finds nothing..... I am away for a few days now but will try running reregisterfilters.bat when I get back home on monday. Will let you know if it sorts it. Thanks again....

hello again.... am back home now and just tried reregisterfilters.bat and restarted the computer. Stil unable to watch live tv, record, update epg, scan channels, etc.... have attached the latest log from trying to watch live tv. Thanks!

Try removing and reseating the PCI card, or use another pci slot if available.

Well in the interests of getting the kids tv shows recording again, I have re-imaged my computer. All is working now.... thanks for your help!!
