Hi

Just changed my capture card from an Asus PE9400 to a Hauppauge HVR1600. This is an analog config. I have a problem where when I click "watch" it tries to start and after 10 seconds reverts back to the guide. I have uninstalled and reinstalled.

Which log files should I post up here to find out what is ailing this box? I am not fond of Media Center. I am running WIN7 x64 Ultimate

Thanx in advanceSmile

in your logs
FindFilterByName failed to locate filter: Hauppauge WinTV 418 Crossbar

Try loading the drivers for the card again,
or run filtercheck and see if that crossbar has not changed it's name in a recent driver.

Can you run filtercheck.exe from the gbpvr directory and post the filtercheck.log?

I'm sure this is a case of your HVR-1600 drivers not being installed correctly though. We've seen a few HVR-1600 users with this in the past.

installed driver from device manager and not exe
Reinstalled gbpvr

Looking at that filtercheck.log, it certainly looks like your drivers are broken for analog. Maybe you used digital in mediacenter, not analog?

Hi Sub

Nah its analog alright. This all started when I had to get a new soundcard and it was PCI-E and needed the slot my perfect asus pe9400 was in. I guess I will have to plod along with MCESad

until I figure something else out. Thank you sir for your time and all your hard work

Man do I hate Media Center. Its .wtv file format is goofy.

Sub.....

Running win7 x64 and the hvr 1600 why would the driver be broken and is there any solution?

It'll be some Hauppauge driver installer bug.

Something about ksxbar.ax and kstvtune.ax. Sorry, its not the type of thing I can help you with personally. There is a thread on the Hauppauge forums where some guy worked through the issue and fixed it himself: http://www.hauppauge.co.uk/board/showthread.php?t=19881.
