I was running an older version of GBPVR on my computer, but when my hard drive crashed I had to reinstall Windows and I upgraded to Windows 7. I installed the latest version of GBPVR (1.47), but my tv tuner card is not on the list of devices for me to choose from on the settings page for the capture source. When I check the box to only show detected cards, it says there are no cards present. I have installed the most current drivers for my card compatible with Windows 7 and according to my device manager it is detected by Windows and is working properly.

Does this new version of GBPVR not support my Hauppage PVR-150? I tried installing the older version of the software I was using with this tuner card but the older version crashed under Windows 7.

What are my options here? Is there a way to make version 1.47 work with my card? Should I switch to this new NPVR software that is still in beta? I'm going out of town on Saturday and my wife is desperate to have the PVR working again before I leave so she can tape her shows while I'm gone. Please help!

1.4.7 definitely works with a PVR150. Are you sure you set your capture source type to analog? If you left it on digital, then your pvr150 wont be listed.

That worked! I didn't even think to change that from digital to analog. Unfortunately that was only the beginning of my problems I guess. I am not getting any guide or live TV inside GBPVR and I assumed that was why, but even after updating the EPG I'm still not getting a guide or any live TV. I guess I will go check and make sure I put the coax into the right port.

Thanks for your help, I hope I can figure it out from here and won't have to bother you again! ^_^

I can confirm, that at least a PVR-500 (same as PVR-150, just with two tuners) will work within Windows 7 (32 / 64-Bit) and would be detected by GB-PVR 1.4.7. Did you restarted your machine after installing the driver for the pvr 150?

On which way do you receive your epg? Just plugin a cable and "update epg" will not work. I get my epg data from a provider called "TV Movie". This database will be converted to xml and can then be used for epg data. You have to do a very similar way, depending on your location.
You like nPVR? Then please help pay the bills, and keep the project alive!

Well I got GBPVR to find the tv tuner card, so that much was a success. My EPG is through Schedules Direct. The EPG is updating properly I know because it downloaded my channel listing inside the config. I got the guide and live TV to show up and everything is working great now. Thanks so much for the help guys! I really appreciate it! ^_^
