Tuning only works in Antenna mode

I’m running v0.90.10 and Hauppauge PVR250. I am having a really hard time getting the tuning to work correctly. I have a cable input with 37 channels. I have the following Direct Recording Plugin selected for the Recording Source. It has the following settings:

Capture Card Type: Hauppauge PVR250
Country: USA
Board Number: Capture Device #1
Source: Internal Tuner, Tuning: Cable
Quality Profile Settings: Medium

When I use these settings, I hear the correct audio, but I only see static for the video. When I change the Tuning to Antenna, I see the video (and hear audio) just fine, but only up to channel 13. After 13, I get static.

Also, the Tuning Assistant finds all 37 channels without any problems.

Any ideas?

Try it with WinTV2000. Does that work OK? How about the tuning app in GB-PVR? I forgot what its called now but give that a try.

Yep, that's what is so strange. It works just fine with WinTV2000 and with the GB-PVR tuning app (Tuning Assistant). It just doesn't work in GBPVR.

I seem to remember that some of the PVR250 cards shipped with software on the CD that didnt work correctly with third party directshow apps (like GB-PVR). This would only find channels up to 13.

The fix was to install the latest drivers from http://www.shspvr.com/forum
