Help with Win 7 & Network!

Dear all,

so totally off any NPVR related stuff but can anyone help with Win 7 and my home network?

I'm still an XP boy but Mrs Steeb who has v high powered job that uses a laptop had it die on her yesterday. So went out and bought new laptop today. With Win 7

Of course I could trawl the web but wondered whether I could ask for help here!

I am not finding it intuitive to connect to my home network where all the software I need is stored.

Dear all,

sorry, after an hour of trying I posted this then somehow now all devices on my network are now appearing, before it was only upnp devices. Hmm apologies!

You don't know how many times my problems go away just after posting. I think the systems are scared of the forum!
