First of all
On Xp still so using vm9
Npvr 1.5.36

The ui zoom feature doesnt seem to do anything
on pvrx2 i had the zoom control set to
horizontal/ vertical zoom both set 0.95
and overscan of 25 on all boarders

I have to have this because stupid tv doesnt let me run 50hz on its native resolution so I have to oversize the picture to get smooth pans

This setting only relates to the UI (menus etc), not video. Are you alking about video or the UI?

I need to make both smaller
but mainly the ui as i cant see the time line(bottom) properly or the clock at the top
tvguide miss bits on the left and so on
I can make custom ratios to fix the picture. In pvrx2 i just fiddled with the over scan from memory (numbers i quoted above)

It should. For example, attached is a screenshot of what I see when it's set to '-10'. Notice the black border on each side.

I am aware of one situation where it doesnt work - when you dont have the required DirectX runtime installed, and its falling back to software rendering the UI. If you post your npvr.log, I can tell whether this is the case.

ok that was it
But
see on your pic how the black bar is smaller at the bottom
thats where my time line is almost off the screen
I can make it smaller but then i get black left and right

Yeah, it doesnt effect video playback. (OSD is part of video playback)
